Pastor Robin Baker

Senior Pastor

Robin is married to Esther and together they have pastored Oasis Christian Centre since 9th April 2000.
Robin has previously served at Elim churches in Kingstanding and Stirchley.
As well as being Senior Pastor here, Robin is also Trustee and Chair of the charity Hope and Kindness, which supports orphaned children in Kossele, Kenya, and Acts of Kindness, which supports those in need in Redditch.
He previously served on the Board of Directors for Redditch YMCA as Chair for 5 years.

Emmanuel D'Almeida

Associate Pastor

Emmanuel is married to Anny, and they have two adorable children.
They joined the OCC family in January 2022 after Emmanuel helped to pastor Crosspoint Church in Birmingham for 2 years.
Previously he's served on the leadership team, and as an assistant pastor, at Pierres Vivantes Church, a French-speaking congregation of Kensington Temple London City Church. In 2016, he left London to complete his theology degree at Regents Theological College in Malvern.
He's an enthusiastic preacher, passionate about mission, evangelism, and discipleship.

Andrew Hill

Honorary Pastor

Andrew is married to Chris. They both have two children and altogether eight grandchildren with an age spread of 26 years!
He is professionally qualified as a solicitor and was formally ordained in 2017. He joined Oasis also in 2017 following a number of years in a Bromsgrove church.
Andrew was in leadership and then minister at Brandhall Baptist Church in Oldbury for 25 years. He ministered at home and abroad and was part of the leadership of Together for Birmingham, networking with ministers across the greater Birmingham area.
He is a trustee of several charitable trusts and was Chair of Warley Leisure, working with people with learning difficulties, for about 20 years.
He is passionate about the Word of God, making it alive and relevant for today, and church growth.

Jerry Judson

Elder

Jerry is an Elder at Oasis. He also assists with the pastoral ministry and volunteers as a befriender for the local branch of Christians Against Poverty.
Jerry is married to Ann and outside of church he enjoys taking part in outdoor activities.

Pam Laydon

Deacon

Pam has been a part of the Oasis family for over 30 years. She's our Secretary and has been a member of the church Session for 17 years. She's a member of our worship and volunteers as a befriender for CAP. She was also a volunteer at our Winyates Charity Shop for 10 years.

Diane Tolson

Deacon

Diane became a Deacon in 2002. She is our Community Liason, which includes being part of the management team of the Oasis at Woodrow shop. She's also a Christians Against Poverty Church Leader and one of the trustees for Acts of Kindness.

Prayer Ministry Leader

Jane Deane has been a part of the Oasis family for over 30 years and currently leads our Prayer Ministry. Since starting here she's helped serve refreshments, been a pastoral worker and counsellor, supported the women's ministry and co-leads a Life Group.

Esther Baker

Pastoral Ministry Leader

Esther is in charge of Pastoral Care at Oasis. She's been a part of the congregation since she was 10 years old. In the past, she's managed one of our charity shops, helped out with children's ministries and organised ladies' meetings.
At home, she loves all things creative, whether that's with paper, paints, wool or thread.
She's married to Pastor Robin and together they live with their crazy little dog, Prince.

Asher Deakin

Children & Families Ministry Leader

Asher is married to Nancy and father to Zachary and Benji. He has been a part of the Oasis Family since 2013, serving on the Youth Team for several years. He is now a part of the Leadership Team and is responsible for the children and families work here at Oasis.
As a retailer by trade, Asher's spent the majority of his working life selling baked beans.
Unashamedly unafraid of making a fool of himself, Asher will always try his hand at trying new games, activities, and accents. Naturally highly competitive, he hopes to one day beat Nancy at Uno!

Nancy Deakin

Children & Families Worker | Deputy Safeguarding Coordinator

Nancy is a qualified Science Teacher and has an extensive background in working with children of all ages and abilities. She is passionate about seeing young people grow in their relationship with Jesus and having a fun time at church. Nancy is married to Asher and has two children, Zachary and Benji. She enjoys afternoon walks and swimming with her family, and is a master of the card game Uno.

Office Staff

Bianca de Oliveira

Project Administrator

Bianca has recently arrived from Brazil and leads our youth groups, strengthening relationships and encouraging discipleship within the next generation of church leaders. She is also a part of our worship team and can often be found in the band on a Sunday morning.
At home she helps look after her nephew, Lucas, and her sister's dog, Yoda.
Outside of church, she'll probably be getting lost somewhere new, listening to great music.

Martin Handy

Admin Assistant

Martin works in the church office and manages the tech team to make sure that Sunday Services run smoothly. He also helps out with finance, DBS checks, and Social Media.
Outside of church, Martin can often be found trying to find yet another way of making coffee.

Christians Against Poverty Team

Caroline Gray

CAP Debt Centre Manager

A committed member of the Oasis Family, Caroline Gray works part-time for the Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre in Redditch where she also is a money coach, running the CAP budgeting course .
Carol also co-leads a weekly Connect Group for young women, and is part of the Welcome and Cleaning teams.

Carol Summer

CAP Debt Counsellor

Carol has been working for Christians Against Poverty in Redditch since May 2021.
She's also volunteered for a variety of church activities over the years.

Emma Marshall

CAP Debt Counsellor

Emma attends Oasis Christian Centre with her husband Chris and youngest 2 children. She works 2 days a week for Christians Against Poverty and has a real passion for helping the community. Outside of church, Emma enjoys downtime with her family which includes 3 dogs and 2 cats.
