1 in 5 people in the UK are struggling with debt.

CAP is here to provide free, face-to-face advice to those who are struggling in and around Redditch.
In 2024, CAP Redditch supported 69 clients. Fourteen of these clients were able to become debt-free at the end of their support.

Debt isn’t just about finances. In 2024, 85% of CAP clients across the UK felt isolated, 52% were afraid to leave their home, and 49% had considered or attempted suicide as a way out of debt.
Through money coaching, Debt Centres, Jobs Clubs and Life Skills groups, CAP makes a difference in all areas of peoples lives.

We are also always looking for Befrienders. These are people who might go with Debt Coaches to meet with clients, or help clients out in other ways.

As well as needing support with managing their finances, clients often need someone by their side to talk to, to invite them out of the house for a coffee, or to help them get to the shops.

If you’d be willing to volunteer and provide that support to our clients, please email emma.marshall@capuk.org
